So what's been happening? After the last post (LOVE JAMZ), Y.E.N.I. did perform at the Eastern Mediterranean University Rock Fest and for the first time did the song "My Life is COK GUZEL*" for the students and other audience. It was indeed an amazing event.
Y.E.N.I. went on to have their 3rd and final Jams-session tagged: G.R.E.E.N. Jamz - which was focussed on social responsibility and environmental awareness. It was really a good closing as we had a wide spectrum of people - nationalities and age groups.
It was the last Jam session but not last performance. The Y.E.N.I. wavin' flag project came to show at the annual Spring Festival and we had students from about 68 countries, waving their flags to the inspirational anthem by K'naan - Wavin' Flag. And to close the semester Y.E.N.I. performed the instrumental of their latest song - I am G.R.E.E.N at the BLW Success celebration as well as other songs at the Graduation Dinner organized by the University.

In other areas, 2 of Y.E.N.I. peoples had their ideas shared on the 'How to Save Energy' Click Here for to see the video - Nubi and Alper. In short, It was an awesome experience. We got evaluations from experts and their inputs have definitely brought a better light on our path and we sure look to develop in the areas mentioned.
Thanks to all that contributed to our growth and learning process. We do sincerely appreciate it and do promise to move from strength to strength and have impact on our communities in our own way.

Hey Fellas! It was another jam session from Y.E.N.I. For those that made it to the UNITY JAMZ, you know how that went and do hope you had a feeling of unity and have started to promote this much needed life-style especially in a place like this - multicultural.
Now it's time to share the love! One thing that is needed for a better society. The Beatles said it "All you need is love" and we definitely need more of it in our community. Hence the LOVE JAMZ that took place on 19.03.2010 @ Oasis Cafe (18.00 HRS).
There was much greater turn out as compared to the UNITY JAMZ - better representation of people from cultural societies. Definitely a sign of progress on the path of the Y.E.N.I. movement.

The Y.E.N.I. Unity Jamz was our first event in the spring semester and sure looked forward to having it done
So why the Unity theme? Unity happens to be one principle or value that Y.E.N.I. holds in high esteem. Y.E.N.I. which stands for Youth Evolutionary Network Initiative would not be what it is if there is no Unity in the first place - so here-go: UNITY JAMZ
It's was an evening with quality line up of art-activities. These included song renditions - some covers and original songs. We also got some poetry and rap, as well as a stand up comedy. It was definitely an entertaining session of music as people from different cultures, countries and background enjoyed the ambiance of Unity.
